a rebuilding facade competition

we insert three boxes into the old building, and order the windows as elements dancing on the facade. The new figure of the building looks like a piece of music.

House Mareix

House matrix focuses on the relationship between unit and integrity.
We separate the whole district into 3 layers, and each one of them has different space pattern. When we overlap them together, their space will saturate into each other. Then the simple ones will create various spaces when they are connected.
Besides, different methods of combination lead to different
space system. The first floor is for exhibition, second floor is workplace and the third floor is living space. In a single unit, the shape and function are simple. However, when we use different ways to combine them, they will generate various spaces.
