Cities are just like ecosystems. They will grow, update, develop, decline and die. In cities, all the elements such as buildings, streets, equipment, people, life, ideals, desire, memories, and even the name are changing. The city that we see is just a fragment in the changing process. So, if we turn the time back, the city at the beginning is like the beginning of the universe, is a chaotic seed, a starting point, a high density, uncertain and powerful origin, which contains all genes of the city.

Every city has such an origin, just like a seed of a tree. These origins are similar to each other, or even the exactly the same, the city’s differences are accumulated in the developing process, the city’s genes and environment constantly influence each other, stimulating each other, restrain each other. Finally, they shape every property, every corner and every feature of the city. Just like a seed, if we throw it in the ocean, it becomes an ocean flower, if we throw it in the desert, it becomes a desert flower, if we throw it in the city, it becomes a city flower. No matter where the origin of city goes, there is a unique city. Some of them are expressed, some are variations, some have been forgotten.
